LIFE Senior Services is pleased and honored to be selected as the 2012 beneficiary of Tulsa Charity Fight Night.
Founded nearly 40 years ago, LIFE Senior Services is a Tulsa Area United Way organization that serves 25,000 seniors and family caregivers each year, providing information, resources and services that promote independence, dignity and quality of life.
LIFE offers a full spectrum of programs and services to meet the needs of seniors of all ages and circumstances.
For anyone who has a question about senior issues and resources, LIFE’s SeniorLine at 918-664-9000 can help. SeniorLine’s personalized information and resource counseling helps seniors and their families successfully navigate the often confusing maze of senior focused information and services. LIFE’s Vintage Guide to Housing & Resources is filled with helpful articles, housing options and community-based services and is conveniently available at any LIFE Senior Services location, Tulsa area library or on-line at www.LIFEseniorservices.org.
For adults just entering or well into retirement, LIFE’s Vintage Newsmagazine offers a wealth of information each month. Seniors confused about their Medicare benefits will find the answers they need at LIFE’s Senior Health Insurance Counseling Program. LIFE’s two Senior Centers also offer a wide range of activities and learning opportunities that encourage members to develop new friendships and stay active, engaged and thriving.
For seniors who are experiencing physical, cognitive or other issues that are threatening their independence, LIFE’s Case Management Services and its three Adult Day Services programs in Tulsa and Broken Arrow provide the personalized assistance needed to help seniors remain safely at home. And, for those wanting to downsize or shed the hassles of home maintenance, LIFE’s Vintage Housing offers safe, affordable apartment communities for qualifying seniors.
LIFE also recognizes the critical role family caregivers play in helping older adults address aging issues and challenges, as well as helping them stay home as long as possible. LIFE works closely with families, encouraging them in their caregiving roles and helping them identify and navigate resources and services that will help them care for their loved ones.
As we look ahead at the Age Wave that is upon us, we know that the mission and work of LIFE Senior Services is even more critical than ever before. We are grateful to Tulsa Charity Fight Night and its sponsors and guests, along with the Siegfried families and Nordam for helping us move forward to meeting that growing need.
Sincerely,
Laura Kenny
